Ullapool Area (20 minutes drive south of the studio)
Ullapool is a lovely commute from Jan's Studio, with the mountains changing colour and shape, depending on the weather, but always giving a dramatic thrill to the trip. It also offers a wide range of accommodation options and restaurants and even live music.

Westlea House is a stylish boutique B&B, run by the very friendly Terry & Shirley Rose is located in the centre of Ullapool on a quiet tree lined road. All rooms offer individual, stylish ensuite accommodation with a choice of delicious breakfasts included in the room rate. You will be able to sit in the lovely guests lounge and enjoy the local art on display, read the many art reference books, play games or play the vinyl records. The hosts are happy to heat up ready meals in their microwave and set you up in the the dining area to eat meals or takeaways.
